After years of requests from loyal followers, Smokin’ Gauchos is proud to offer dedicated catering services, from private intimate dining experiences, through to Corporate event catering for the masses.

Watch as the fire dances, and the embers glow; our fire immersion experiences will stimulate your senses, from the lighting of primal fire, through to the visual theatrics of an array of protein, fruit and vegetables, hanging, smoking, charred and grilled to perfection.

Connect with our Fire Chefs as they tame the fire, whilst talking you through the nature of the ingredients, the sourcing of the produce and the stories of how these simple elements come together to create a spectacular event.

It’s more than just the food, it’s a celebration of locally sourced produce, from regenerative and organic farms, slowing things down a bit, and the connection of humans, coming together around fire and food, in harmony.

Located in Sydney, and servicing 300km Radius, our experiences can serve from 10 – 200+ people. For more intimate gatherings or high-end private dining, we can accomodate with a minimum spend.

Events

Smokin’ Gauchos – Fire Immersion Catering specialises in open woodfire catering, offering a complete woodfire pit installation, including open fire grills, an asado cross, fire drums, hanging racks etc and using as much locally sourced and seasonal produce.

Menu

All packages are designed and curated by our Chefs to create a grazing style feast for you and your guests. Dietary requirements can be catered for, and must be advised at time of booking. We ensure all guests can enjoy the flavours of woodfire, vegans, pescatarians, gluten free, vegetarian, keto, carnivore – all are welcome and will be well nourished!

Menu 1: from $170 per head*

Mains

  • Locally sourced free range whole chicken with Rufus Teague rub, lemon & herbs.
  • Locally sourced lamb/pork Legs cooked over open fire with herbs, basted with our brine. 
  • Wood fired mussels with chorizo and beer

Sides

  • Cabbage slaw cooked over the fire with burnt orange vinaigrette
  • Fire roasted potatoes with hard herbs and truffle butter
  • Pumpkin slowly roasted over fire with herbs, balsamic glaze finished with a toasted pecan crumb and mint

Condiments

  • Salsa Verde
  • Horseradish cream

Dessert

  • Cinnamon and sugar glazed pineapple cooked over fire, served with a fire roasted berry compote, yoghurt and pecan crumb finished with fresh oregano

Menu 2: $190 per head*

Mains

  • Locally sourced lamb/pork Legs cooked over open fire with herbs, basted with our brine .
  • Wood fired mussels with chorizo and beer Wood fired fish of the day (customers may request a certain type of fish)

Menu 3: from $200 per head*

Mains

  • Whole pig or lamb butterflied and cooked on Argentinian cross over with open fire, basted with our brine
  • Fire roasted mixed veg finished in sea salt and Vinno Cotto
  • Wood fired mussels with chorizo and beer
  • Wood fired fish of the day (customers may request a certain type of fish)

Additional Info

Note

  • Two chefs are included for up to 30 guests – additional chefs and wait staff will be quoted for bigger events
  • We recommend waitstaff for all events and will be charged at $60 per hour for a minimum of 4 hours
  • A $150 booking a travel fee will be applicable to cover the set-up required
  • For events less than 50 people a minimum spend will be required
