Shipping, Returns & Warranty Policy

 

Returns

We believe in our products and know they are made by artisans from around the world with love and care. They are not mass produced or made by machines and tooling. These products, will often have imperfections or variances which add to their artisan charm, including but not limited to:

– The welds
– Forging marks
– Scuffs, bruises, fingerprints
– Cavity within woodgrain
– Uneven or imperfect symmetry
– Different surface finish
– Burrs 
– Spots of surface rust or blemishes
– Variance in materials / textures / finishes

For any of our products, except our Parrilla, If you are not satisfied with your purchase it can be returned within 14 days from the shipping date as long as it is unused and undamaged. Return shipping is at the purchaser’s expense.

Refunds

A refund may be provided if goods are proven to be faulty. This will require investigation and proof. The opportunity for repair or replacement is at Smokin’ Gauchos discretion and, if accepted, refunds will be made to the method of payment used at purchase. 

Refunds will not be granted due to change of mind, change in lead times, delivery charges, or for any other reason unless there is a proven fault in our manufacturing. All our Parrilla are handmade, and made to order, in Australia, by a local fabricator, all orders must be paid in full. 

Shipping

Please be aware that our products are made both in Australian and primarily in Latin America. Shipping of manufactured units may take several weeks. Product orders will typically be shipped within 3-8 days of purchase via Australia post or appropriate couriers. Free shipping is generally included for most items on the site, except otherwise stated, or in particular, our Parrilla.

The purchase of our Parrilla will require a customised shipping quote based on location, and must be covered at the purchasers expense.

Warranty

Our goods are covered by a 12 month manufacturing warranty. Should our products prove to fault during this period, a process to rectify, replace or refund will take place.

Warranty does not cover:

– Misuse of products
– Blunt or chipped blades
– Damage caused through heat, lack of maintenance, age, or wear and tear
– Our parrilla are manufactured from steel, and are painted in up to 3 coats of high temp rustoleum paint. This paint will burn off in areas, and it is required that you season and coat the entire parrilla in light spray oil or similar after each cook. Mild steel will last many years if treated properly, however is prone to corrosion and or rust. Touch up paint can be purchased from bunnings or similar and is easy to apply to areas where steel is exposed. Alternatively a seasoned build up using oil and heat can be used to protect the parrilla and steel from corrosion.
– Many of our knives are made from HIGH CARBON steel, which is also prone to patina, and surface rust. Knives must be oiled after being cleaned after use. These are professional knives which will last generations if properly cared for. Care instructions are available in the blog section, or via our instagram. 
– Our chopping boards, firetools, and wooden handle products must all be maintained and cared for. Like any wooden product, they will come sealed, however keeping them waxed or oiled is the purchasers responsibility. You must not submerge in water. Any cracking, or drying is the responsibility of the purchaser.
